Kim Delaney is an American actor who is most well-known as the character Detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she garnered an Emmy Award. Her most well-known role is her performance as a character in All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney is the daughter of an executive at the United Auto Workers who was also an auntie. Delaney has four older brothers. In childhood, Delaney dreamed of becoming an official reporter for the court. Her modeling career began at the age of 14 and later landed commercial roles when she moved to New York. In 1981, she starred as an innocent teenager in the film All My Children. Delaney appeared in a number of television shows, films as well as dramas in the years since. The way she lives her life, unlike her professional one has nt been a success and has not been happy. There were two divorces that failed and fought with addiction issues. In 2005, the actress was denied custody over her only son.
